Red is the first single off the body of work that is Chakras. This project is produced entirely by OMFG from his "What Beats?" collection and inspired by #thecolorchallenge put out by @thepoetwillbetelevised

I have become interested in the chakras through my practice in Yoga and self awareness that speaks to the mood and the meaning of each energy center.

The Root chakra or the red chakra is about being grounded and rooted. Feeling at peace with one's needs and wants. I wrote this at a time when our country was going through a high daily death rate from COVID19 and the nation was in turmoil with the uprising for BIPOC lives and Trump was trying to steal the 2020 election.

from the base of my spine I bring the nation to calm
Energy rising and you coming along
catch the wave or get lost in the storm

the red horse I'm so far beyond

The red stripe is for the bloodshed the harm

Another to meet the leaders of unlocking life's secrets
We just speaking truth to life what's the matter with no weakness?
Freak this we got basic primal needs this color increases
I churn roots and chew the fat to pieces vitality my thesis
Grounded and rooted but hungry that's why I beast this
Muladhara the first of seven chakras unlock to advance
please repeat the mantra I am free of anger I am free of guilt
I am free of pain and though I may be killed
I am free of fear and this is how I'm built
And since I'm meant to be here I make it felt
If I knelt on my knees or sat in the lotus
Compose this in red clay on a bed of roses
Surrounded or alone rhythmic prose exposes
I am well grounded part the red sea like Moses
You know its just components of the wholeness
These little moments the onus they don't own us
They pass over us like moods or coronas
atmospheric interferences and ruby auras
200 foot red carpets on the floor for all of us
Why you buying what's in store when you so glorious?
Splash obnoxious Shone to make the people dance
The flow defies logic b/c its basically advanced
The foundation is Earth and the vision is cosmic
These gems are Black Opal and Red Sardonyx
